We were reported of an unprecedented action initiated against one Com. Rupesh Solanki, SWO-A of Porbandar branch on 31.7.2023 by the Chief Manager of the branch who placed him under suspension on the pretext of his defiance to accept his order to attend to the far away offsite ATM at 4.40 PM.
Com Rupesh conveyed his observation in a humble manner saying that the said work doesn’t fall within the stipulated duties of Clerk and also the work calls for technical knowledge which he doesn’t possess.
This logical statement of Com. Rupesh annoyed the Chief Manager and out of whimsies and personal animosity he immediately placed him under suspension keeping a goodbye to all rules and ethics.
Immediately our Gujarat unit under the leadership of GBWU spared no time and lodged our emphatic protest and also simultaneously tried to prevail on the Chief Manager with logic and reasons. But his denial to listen to our reasonings left us with no option to call for agitation against such a capricious action of the management.
Our comrades under the united leadership of GBWU plunged into action and strong demonstrations were held at Porbandar and Junagadh.
Our Federation instantly brought this matter to the notice of the top management at Head Office and conveyed our strong resentment against such whimsical action of a local branch Manager and sought intervention to bring back normalcy.
We are pleased to inform all that at the intervention of the management the suspension of Com. Rupesh has been revoked and the matter stands settled honorably.

their unstinted support and for vindication of unity and fighting spirit.
