Circular 14.3.22 : We draw the attention of the units to our communication HO/GM/HRM/109/2017-2017-20DT11/03/2022 addressed to GM HRM

Dear Comrades,
We draw the attention of the units to our communication HO/GM/HRM/109/2017-2017-20DT
11/03/2022
addressed to GM HRM, on the Manpower Shortage and their communication
HRM/MPTP/896/2021-22 Dt 07/3/2022 through which Bank has advised all Zonal Heads to select
5 to 7 clerical staff in each Zone and to constitute a DEDICATED SALES FORCE.
From the contents of the above said communication of ours, units must have understood our
concern. Now, the Zonal Heads, in order to satisfy their bosses may try to unilaterally identify the
clerical staff and transfer them to Retail Sales which we apprehend that such a move would not
only put our people into hardship but also would affect the branches which are already reeling
under shortage of staff. Thus in the coming weeks, a situation may be created both for our
members and for the union.
As already we have planned to escalate our campaign on our demand “for adequate supply of
manpower”, units should start gearing up themselves to meet out the situation and make our voice
louder and clear on this important demand.
To start with, we need to mobilise the support of the Zonal Offices who too are concerned over
deteriorating conditions in branches due to shortage of manpower. Also we need to give a proper
message to Zonal Heads against taking unilateral steps in drawing clerical staff from Branches for
the Retail Sales Force.
We therefore advise all our units to submit a memorandum (format given under) enclosing copy of
our letter with a request to forward the same to GM HRM. This shall be carried out on or before 16
th MARCH. WE will advise further steps shortly.
Please note to confirm compllance to us without fall.
With Greetings,
Yours Comradely,
Natel
