DearSir,
Youarewelawarethatduetorapidspreadofinfection(Covid)manyStateGovernments havecomeoutwithTotalLockdownasaresultpublicandprivatetransportshavealsobeen shut.SLBCconvenorsindiferentstateshavealsoissuedadvisory/guidelinesfortheBanks.In somestatesbankswilfunctionwithrestrictedtimings,inKeralaitisonalternatedays,in Pondicheryitisrestrictedupto12pm andinfew otherstatesupto2pm andsoon.The secondwaveisunabatedandposingseverethreattothetotalenvironmentandlivesofthose, particularly who are required to serve the public.Thus Bank employees are required to continuetheirservicelikeanyotherfrontlinewariors.
WearethankfultoourManagementforcertainstepstakentoinstilconfidenceinthemindsof theemployees,thoughnotadequatecomparedtootherBanks.
Intheabovebackground,weareconstrainedtobringtoyouratentionabouttheurgentneed to take certain under-m entioned steps to ensure that the w ork force com ply w ith the requirementsofBusinessContinuityPlanwithcourage,confidenceandcommitment.
1.Otherthanminimum bankingactivitiesthereshouldbenootheragendalikeonlinetraining etc.Pleasetakenoteofthetransportproblems,notexceeding50% staftobedeployed, alternatedayworking,exemptionofcertaincategoryofemployeesandtakestepstostop insistingthestaftocometobranchestoatendonlinetrainingprogrammeslikeFinalceetc.
2.InStateswherepublicandprivatetransportsareshut/partialyoperating,employeesmaybe givenoptiontoreporttoabranchnearesttotheirresidencesandwork.
3.WilappreciateifZonaloficesareadvisedtorestrainfrom issuingimpracticable instructions to branches to assign work,which we find are contradictory to the present situation.
4.WilappreciateifBankadoptsnon-discriminatoryapproachwhilegrantingsomeadditional privileges.Whilebankisconsideratetooficersandexecutivespermitingthem tobuy MEDICALOXIGENCONCENTRATORS,ofcoursewithinthepermissiblelimittheyareentitled forfurnituresandfixtures,yetwefeelBankshouldhavethoughtitfittoextendthesame facilitytoothercategoryofworkforce,ifnotasaperk,atleastbygrantinginterestfreeloan. AfteralCoronahasnotdiscriminatedpeoplebasedontheirstatus.

5.AdditionalSickleaveavailableunder11 BipartiteSetlementisnotgranted,withtheresult

7.Last but not the least, Fast track set tlem ent of claim s of hospitalisation, expeditious disposalofclaimsofdeceasedemployeesfamilies,moreimportantlygrantofcompassionate appointmentstothefamilies-victimsofCovid,wilgoalongwayinkeepingthemoraleofthe workforce.
Wearesureandhopefulthat,ourManagementwilstandsecondtononeinmanifestingtheir care and concern approach towards the work force which is today dedicating itselfin preservingandpromotingtheinterestoftheInstitution.
