2. Collection of Premium without GST
Of late. it has come to our notice that the Honourable High Court of Kerala has passed an interim order directing
the banks to renew the insurance policy without collecting the GST on the premium, subject to final order by the
Honourable High Court.
Meanwhile we have come across circulars of different banks like I0B, Central Bank, PNB, Canara Bank etc
where they have passed instructions to collect premium for medical insurance from retirees for 2025-26 without GST.
In Canara bank the amount of GST so collected on premium from the retirees were refunded even
Hence, we urge upon you to extend the benefits of the interim order of the Honourable Kerala High Court to the
retirees of our bank also. In our bank the premium has already been collected by adding GST. So we request
your good self not to remit the amount to the insurance company and arrange for refunding the GST amount to the retirees.We solicit your kind intervention in this maller lo uppot the roirees of ouu Bank
