**UCO Bank Announces Improvements in Staff Welfare Schemes for FY 2026-27**

UCO Bank has issued a circular (Ref: CHO/PMG/11/2026-27) detailing several improvements and amendments to its Staff Welfare Schemes for the financial year 2026-27. These changes were approved by the Staff Welfare Committee in its meeting held on 24 June 2026.

The circular introduces a new scheme and revises benefits under existing ones for both in-service employees and retirees. The objective is to enhance employee well-being, provide better financial support for health, education, and other needs, and streamline certain reimbursements.

**Key Improvements and Amendments:**

**For In-Service Employees:**

– **New UCO Wellness Scheme**: ₹600 per annum per employee towards gym/fitness centre/yoga/wellness programmes or purchase of fitness equipment (on declaration basis).
– **UCO Samarth (Canteen Expense)**: Increased to ₹250 per month for all eligible employees. The amount will be directly credited to salary accounts from Head Office.
– **Reimbursement of Cleansing Material**: ₹750 per half year. – **Holiday Home Reimbursement**: Increased to ₹750 per half year. – **Health Check-up Scheme, Spectacles Reimbursement, and UCO Tribute (In-Service)**: No changes.
– Scholarship and Prize schemes renamed to **UCO Protsahan** and **UCO Pratibha** respectively.

**For Retirees:**

– **Health Assistance to Retirees (UCO Tribute – Retiree)**: ₹1,900 per annum for normal/VRS retired employees and ₹700 per annum for family pensioners (credited in March based on data as on 28.02.2026). – **UCO Tribute (Funeral Expenses)**: ₹20,000 (max) – no change.

The circular emphasises that no other schemes are currently in vogue under the Bank’s Staff Welfare Schemes. Detailed guidelines for the new UCO Wellness Scheme and renamed scholarship schemes will be issued separately. All branches/offices have been instructed to bring the contents to the notice of all staff members and display them prominently on notice boards.

**A. Ongoing Staff Welfare Schemes for FY 2026-27 for In-Service Employees:**

1. UCO Protsahan & UCO Pratibha (renamed from Jubilee & UCO Diamond Scholarship/Prize Schemes) – detailed circular to follow.
2. Health Check-up Scheme – No change.
3. Reimbursement of cost of spectacles – No change.
4. UCO Samarth – ₹250 per month (directly credited).
5. Canteen Expense – Revised modalities.
6. Holiday Home (For In-Service employee and Retiree) – ₹750 per half year. 7. Reimbursement of expenses of Cleansing material – ₹750 per half year. 8. UCO Wellness (New Scheme) – ₹600 p.a. per employee for fitness related expenses.
