We are very pleased to inform you that as decided earlier the GENERAL MEETING of

BSUCBEA, an affiliate of AIUCBEF was held today i,e on 6.7.2025 at BIHAR INDUSTRIES

ASSOCIATION AUDITORIUM, PATNA.

The General Meeting of our Bihar State unit was coupled with the General meeting of

their Cooperative Society at the same venue.

There was an impressive attendance of more than 150 comrades coming from different

parts of Bihar.

At the outset the leaders of BSUCB COOP Society undertook the task of completing their

General meeting with certain announcements for the betterment of the Society as well

as their members. That meeting was presided by Sri Alok Srivastava, our ex-member and

retired officer of our bank. The Report and the proceedings were presented by Com. P.

K. Singh. After short deliberations and with adoption of report and proposals this meeting

came to an end.

Immediate after this meeting started our GENERAL MEETING .The meeting was presided over by Com. P K Singh, Advisor and Com. Mubarak Hussain,

President of BSUCBEA. Com. PD Singh, General Secretary, BSUCBEA initiated the meeting

with his brief speech on the purpose and objective of this meeting.

The first speaker to address the packed auditorium was Com. K. Vijhayan, Chairman of

AIUCBEF. In his hour – long speech he dealt elaborately upon the issues like:

1. 09th July Industrial Strike

2. Govt’s nefarious game plan to privatise the nationalised banking sector with reference

to IDBI sell out.

3. Labour law reforms

4. Banking Industry and present problems of RECRUITMENT, 5 DAY BANKING,

OUTSOURCING ETC.

5. UCO BANK condition.

6. Management’s attitude towards employees issues.

7. Deterrent role of HR at Zonal levels.

8. Need to organize struggles.

9. Need to strengthen ORGANIZATION

His speech was analytical and encouraging and was highly appreciated by the

audience.

After his conclusion, President called upon the members to feel free to ask any question

or clarification from ALL INDIA leadership present there.

Few comrades rose to speak and the queries raised by them were related to Transfer

and Relieving.

After them, President called the General Secretary of AIUCBEF to address the gathering.

In his detailed speech, Com. Partha Chanda dealt on various issues related to the

problems of our country’s economy, approach of the present ruling dispensation which

is the background of the ensuing 09th July Industrial Strike. The retrograde policies pursued

by the Govt towards working class and people at large needs to be fought unitedly and

for which AIBEA is whole heartedly participating in the Strike.

He later on analysed the present-day problems of banking industry with a comparative

analytical picture of UCO BANK.

But due to shift in paradigm of the Government and bankers there is a continuous effort

to delay and deny the rights and privileges of employees. Here he presented the

significant role being played by ALL INDIA UCO BANK EMPLOYEES FEDERATION to restore,

retain and achieve rights of our employees.He presented the role of AIUCBEF in regard to yearly Recruitments and under which

conditions Recruitments are being carried on in UCO Bank.

He emphasised with allegories and instances how Union/ Federation is protecting the

rights, dignity, esteem of employees and also motivating our members to walk a mile

extra for our beloved institution.

He also highlighted upon the problems pertaining to Transfer and Relieving and placed

every detail in front of the members to realise the practical situation.

Emphasising the role of AIBEA being played gloriously for last 80 years and in UCO BANK

by our Federation he called upon all particularly the young generation to come forward

and prepare themselves to lead this mighty organization in the days to come.

Amidst loud applauses his speech came to an end with quoting a couplet from Mirza

Ghalib.

After him a short speech on our future plans and programmes was put forth by Com. P.

D. Singh, GS of Bihar State unit.

With the Presidential remarks and thanksgiving, the Meeting was concluded.

This General meeting was really inspiring for all and was able to rouse enthusiasm and

encouragement among our members.

Federation once again thanks our valiant Bihar leadership and all comrades for

organising such an effective meeting after quite a long time.
