HO/GM/HRM/108/2021-22 Dated19/2/2022
The General Manager,
Human Resources Management & PSD
UCO Bank,
Head Office,
Kolkata.
Dear Sir,
Sub: ISSUES REMAINING UNRESOLVED & OUR CONCERN.
WE remain confident that you are well aware of the issues that are repeatedly discussed with
HRM, both formally and informally and reminded many times in the last two to three years. We
are particularly concerned over the under mentioned issues.
• Pension to all those who joined the Bank between 1993 and 1995.
• Filling up of all vacant posts in Functional Allowance Cadre.
• Direction to Zones to fill up all sanctioned posts of SWO B WHICH REMAIN VACANT FOR
YEARS IN MANY ZONES.
• Clearance of All pending Interstate Request Transfers and appropriate steps to redesign the
HRMS to enable the needy and eligible employees to apply or modify their requests.
• Complete the process of Implementation of 11th Bipartite Settlement In all aspects – Retirees,
Deceased and correction in Additional Sick leave (to avail on full pay), special casual leave for
Physically challenged employees.
• Helpful approach and speedy disposal of Compassionate Appointments.
• Ways and means to address the concerns of Daily Wagers, Canteen boys and Permanent
filling up of large number of posts in Substaff Category.
Besides the above, we are deeply concerned over the increasing tension in the branches due to
severe shortage of Clerical Staff and have been
constantly insisting for both short term and long term planning/solution for adequate supply
of staff to branches.
Similarly we also drew your attention to the plight of branches, staff and customers due to
huge problems that have come up after Migration to FINACLE 10. Nearly last two months employees have been compelled to work unlimited hours and there is a need to incentivise
them.
We, intended to discuss all the above during the course of the recent meeting on 10th and 11′
February. But unfortunately due to your other engagements we could not pay any attention to
these issues. Thus we have to return from there with some sense of dissatisfaction and
disappointment.
It is needless to refresh your memory that our Federation did suspend all agitational programmes,
after we were invited for discussions in last August/September, placing full trust in the
discussions.
We once again urge on you to pay your preferred attention and focus on the above listed issues
with a decisive approach so as to ensure that our desire to maintain harmony in the IR front is
not found to be a misplaced one.
Thanking you,
Yours faithfully,
Patel
