In connection with the State level GR meeting held on 26th July,2023, Com. Ram Avatar Sharma and Com. Partha Chanda visited Bangalore. The GR meeting was preceded by an executive committee meeting held at the Conference Room of Zonal Office, Bangalore. The meeting was attended by 15 executive committee members out of which almost all present were young comrades who had been inducted in the committee after their last Conference. The meeting dealt with the multiple problems being faced by employees at different branches due to Manpower crisis, increasing work load and in many places lack of support from the supervisory staff. Com. President and General Secretary informed them in details about the duties of clerical staff and the role and Responsibilities to be adhered to by them. Comrades were made aware of the Different Bank circulars and related provisions of our Settlements. The meeting also discussed threadbare upon the issues to be taken up at the GR meeting. The youth leadership were also apprised of their roles as upcoming leaders and about the need of strengthening the organization at this critical time. The meeting was very effective in respect of instilling faith and confidence in union. After lunch the GR meeting started at 2.30 PM chaired by the Zonal Manager. He was assisted by the Dy Zonal Head & HR Manager. Union was represented by Com. Kini, Suresh, Satish and Com. Srinath, the General Secretary of State Unit apart from Com. President & General Secretary of AIUCBEF.

The meeting which continued for almost 3 hours dealt elaborately upon all the issues raised by us and were responded positively and by and large resolved on table. Theurge in the local management to settle grievances was noticeable and really praiseworthy. Throughout the discussion it was vindicated that our organisation in Karnataka is alive to entire situation prevailing in the state and are well connected to the members and also with the local management for persuasion.

At the end of the meeting the Zonal Manager expressed satisfaction upon the role of our union and sought further cooperation for achieving better results for the zone. To this on behalf of our union and from Federation the General Secretary assured of unstinted support in the larger interest of our beloved institution. Soon after the GR meeting a general meeting was held at Bangalore City branch where good number of comrades participated in spite of frequent rainfall and windy weather. Felicitations were offered at the outset to President and General Secretary of AIUCBEF and also to Com. Vasuraj who is due to retire on 31st July. The general meeting was presided upon by Com. Suresh, Chairman of the State Unit. While addressing the gathering Com. Ram Avatar Sharma in brief narrated the challenges staring at us and called upon all to work hard for unity and strengthen our organisation and physically participate in all agitational programmes in order to send a strong signal to the Government and management.
Thereupon Com. General Secretary elaborately analyzed the conditions prevailing in the country, the approach of this present Govt.at Centre, privatization spree of the rulers, attacks on banking industry and their employees and in this gloomy situation the achievements made by our Federation in the interest of our employees. He emphasized upon the need to strengthen the organization by inducing more and more young blood in it and to get prepared for struggle, sacrifice and then success. The meeting was successful in rousing enthusiasm among youth comrades particularly and to all others present in the meeting.
In fine the Bangalore visit of both President and General Secretary was meaningful and purposeful as far as shaping and strengthening our organization is concerned
